John P. “Jack” Timmony

John P. “Jack” Timmony has been a partner of VanOverbeke, Michaud & Timmony P.C. since 1996. Like all of our talented professionals, Jack serves as legal counsel and representative for our many public employee pension system and municipal clients.
His career in the law and as a business owner is filled with ample experience in corporate legal contracts, bankruptcies and business litigation. Ever willing to impart his knowledge, Jack served as a teacher at two Detroit law schools for nearly a decade. He joined our firm after several years of service to the City of Detroit as part of the City’s Law Department.
Today Jack uses his extensive business and municipal law experience in the service of our clients. His roles range from participation in board and council meetings and updating clients on changes to the applicable pension laws, advising pension systems on best practices, and work in the trial and appellate courts, both state and federal.
